Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
Job Purpose:
Oversee the procurement of capital equipment and goods—including printing items, capital machinery, medical equipment and devices, spare parts and services, home appliances, bags, wearable items, fire safety equipment, surveillance systems, and other miscellaneous goods—according to the requirements of BRAC’s programmes, enterprises, and subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities:
Procure goods and services in line with BPGIP guidelines and procurement policies, ensuring timely delivery to stakeholders.
Review and validate technical specifications, issue RFQs/IFTs, coordinate evaluations, facilitate technical/sample assessments, and manage tender processes including Post Tender Negotiations (PTNs), preparation of Comparative Statements (CS), and securing necessary approvals.
Organize evaluations and stakeholder meetings with internal teams and vendors to ensure transparent decision-making.
Issue Purchase Orders (POs), monitor deliveries, and verify vendor bills with complete documentation (delivery challans, Mushok, etc.) for accurate ERP-based payment processing, coordinating with Finance for timely settlements to both local and international vendors.
Maintain effective coordination with programme teams, Accounts, and external stakeholders; organize forums and meetings such as the Partners’ Forum and quarterly review sessions to strengthen collaboration.
Lead sourcing initiatives to expand and strengthen the supply market, and manage emergency or high-value purchases during special events or urgent needs.
Ensure compliance with internal and donor audit requirements by maintaining accurate and up-to-date procurement records.
Contribute to the transformation of procurement practices in line with BRAC’s social enterprise approach, while managing Cluster Procurement Manager (CPM) responsibilities and facilitating key engagements including the annual Partners’ Forum and quarterly coordination meetings.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
Ensure the protection of programme participants, visitors, and team members from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), in alignment with safeguarding goals.
Serve as a key source of guidance on safeguarding to establish a safe working environment.
Follow established safeguarding reporting procedures in case of reportable incidents and encourage others to do the same.
Promote, practice, and uphold safeguarding standards across all activities and team interactions.
