Additional Requirements
At least 1–2 years of proven experience in HR operations.
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in using HRIS platforms and MS Office applications.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Prior experience handling HR processes within donor-funded projects will be an added advantage.
Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) is highly desirable
Position Overview:
The Senior HR Officer will play a key role in supporting the Human Resources Department of JAAGO Foundation Trust by managing core HR functions. This includes recruitment, onboarding, payroll assistance, HRIS management, documentation, and employee relations. The role requires strong attention to detail, a collaborative approach, and a service-oriented mindset to ensure smooth HR operations and adherence to organizational policies.
Recruitment & Onboarding
Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, application screening, and interview coordination.
Facilitate new hire orientations and onboarding programs.
HR Documentation
Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS (e.g., Zoho or other platforms as directed by management).
Prepare and manage HR documents such as contracts, offer letters, NOCs, salary certificates, and experience letters.
Ensure all personnel files are complete, accurate, and updated on time.
Employee Relations
Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
Provide support to staff in understanding and complying with organizational policies and regulations.
Payroll
Assist in preparing the monthly payroll sheet.
Collect monthly timesheets from projects and relevant payroll-related information from staff.
HR Projects & Initiatives
Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing processes and employee engagement.
Support the rollout of HR strategies and organizational initiatives.
Safeguarding
Promote and uphold the organization’s safeguarding policies to protect children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
Report any safeguarding concerns, suspicions, or incidents promptly, in line with established reporting procedures.
Maintain professional boundaries and conduct to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for beneficiaries, colleagues, and stakeholders.
