At least 2 years of professional experience in a field hospital or PHCC setting.
Willingness and ability to travel to remote or challenging locations.
Prior experience with referral procedures and coordination, including handling obstetric complications commonly seen in humanitarian crises—such as managing high-risk pregnancy, delivery, or newborn cases during referral transport.
Contract Type: Contractual, valid until 30 June 2026.

The Opportunity
The Clinical Referral Assistant plays a crucial role in the CEmONC team, acting as the central point of communication between referral facilities, emergency units, and internal clinical teams. This position is responsible for managing and coordinating all obstetric and newborn emergency referrals with efficiency and empathy. The ideal applicant will be highly organized, an effective communicator, and capable of performing well in demanding and fast-moving situations—ensuring mothers and newborns receive prompt and smooth access to specialized services. Additionally, the role will participate in internal and external technical working groups and communities of practice.
