Additional Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in automation testing.
Demonstrated expertise in writing automated tests using Node.js, with solid experience in Postman scripting for API testing.
Proficient in using JUnit and Playwright for functional and UI automation.
Strong skills in writing and executing SQL queries for validating backend logic and data accuracy.
Exposure to testing distributed, event-driven architectures, preferably involving Apache Kafka.
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
In-depth understanding of the software testing lifecycle, including defect tracking and test reporting processes.
Capable of working effectively in Agile teams, with excellent collaboration skills across both offshore and onshore stakeholders.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Background or understanding of financial services or working within regulated industries is a plus.
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Willingness to work Monday through Friday in a fast-paced, innovative fintech environment.
Must be available to work in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone (6:00 PM – 3:00 AM BD time).
Skills
Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks and test suites covering functional, regression, and integration testing.
Develop high-quality, reusable automation scripts that adhere to best coding practices and standards.
Execute both automated and manual test cases; analyze test outcomes, identify issues, and document defects thoroughly.
Integrate automated testing processes into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and ensure early detection of quality issues.
Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and other team members to troubleshoot problems and enhance application reliability.
Assist in preparing test data, perform data integrity checks, and carry out validations using SQL queries.
Participate in testing distributed systems and event-driven architectures, with a particular focus on environments utilizing Apache Kafka.
