Manabik Shahajya Sangstha (MSS) — a national NGO — is seeking a qualified candidate on behalf of its partner organization, Shafiuddin Ahmed Foundation Hospital (SAF Hospital) in Thakurgaon, to fill the following position:
The position involves providing medical consultation and treatment for eye-related conditions, assisting consultants during surgeries in the operating theatre, and supporting patient screening activities at eye camps organized by the foundation in field locations.

Patient Evaluation and Management
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including detailed history taking, visual acuity testing, refraction, tonometry, and slit-lamp evaluation.
Request and interpret diagnostic investigations such as visual field tests, OCT, and B-scans.
Diagnose and initiate appropriate treatment for common ocular diseases such as conjunctivitis, keratitis, uveitis, acute glaucoma, and minor eye trauma.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
Emergency Management
Handle ophthalmic emergencies and provide immediate management for cases such as chemical injuries, penetrating trauma, or sudden vision loss.
Participate in on-call duties for emergency ophthalmology cases as per schedule.
Surgical Support
Assist consultants and senior doctors in performing eye surgeries (e.g., cataract, glaucoma, and vitreoretinal procedures).
Perform minor surgical interventions under supervision, such as foreign body removal and chalazion incision and drainage.
Documentation
Maintain clear, accurate, and timely patient records (both electronic and paper-based).
Complete all required documentation related to patient admission, transfer, and discharge.
Communication
Provide clear explanations to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and expected outcomes.
Collaborate with other medical departments to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Training and Education
Participate in academic activities such as case discussions, seminars, and clinical audits.
Provide guidance and supervision to junior medical staff, interns, and nursing personnel.
