Purpose & Scope:
Oversee, manage, and implement all legal affairs of Rupayan Group and its associated entities, ensuring operations align with legal standards, company policies, and industry best practices—while staying within the approved budget.
Act as a key liaison between the legal department, management, and operational teams to align legal goals with the company’s broader objectives. Drive efficiency by streamlining legal processes, optimizing collaboration across departments, and supporting budget planning for legal functions. Regularly evaluate existing legal workflows and introduce improvements where necessary.
Draft, vet, and manage legal documents related to property sales, leases, joint ventures, and partnerships.
Ensure all agreements comply with internal policies and legal regulations.
Maintain a centralized legal database for easy document access and compliance tracking.
Monitor contract timelines, including renewals, expirations, and legal obligations.
Ensure all projects adhere to property, construction, zoning, and environmental regulations.
Liaise with government bodies to obtain necessary approvals, licenses, and permits.
Keep management updated on changes in laws affecting the real estate industry.
Identify potential legal issues and risks before finalizing deals or projects.
Coordinate with external legal counsel on active litigation (e.g., land disputes, contract violations, tenant conflicts).
Organize evidence, prepare documentation, and manage schedules for court or arbitration proceedings.
Keep internal stakeholders informed of legal case developments and associated risks.
Act as a bridge between the company and external legal firms, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, construction, and finance to resolve legal matters.
Facilitate communication during land acquisition, due diligence, and regulatory processes.
Review ownership records, titles, and encumbrance certificates before property transactions.
Assist with property registration, mortgage paperwork, and tax clearance.
Support legal site inspections and compliance checks for acquisitions.
Monitor and manage legal budgets and service-related expenditures.
Generate regular legal updates and performance reports for senior management.
Maintain documentation of audits, inspections, legal disputes, and outcomes.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or company leadership.
