We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager / Deputy General Manager – HR & Compliance to oversee an industrial complex comprising multiple factories, including Knitting, Dyeing, Washing, Garments, and Sweater units.
Job Location: Jamgora, Ashulia, Savar
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the HR & Compliance department across multiple factories within the complex.
Develop and implement HR & Compliance strategies aligned with business plans, labor laws, buyer Codes of Conduct (COC), and industry standards.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, buyer requirements, and other regulatory standards.
Prepare and update HR & Compliance policies, procedures, and SOPs.
Manage all HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, confirmation, promotion, transfer, compensation & benefits, attendance, leave management, training & development, disciplinary actions, employee relations, and grievance handling.
Prepare factories for various audits including social, environmental, technical, security, and buyer-specific inspections.
Ensure factory working environments comply with standards such as BSCI, WRAP, SEDEX, OHSAS, Accord Alliance, and QMS audits.
Liaise with buyers, auditors, and compliance monitoring agencies as required.
Implement and monitor corrective actions advised by management, buyers, or auditors.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities, worksites, equipment, and safety devices to ensure adherence to regulations and workplace standards.
Maintain a healthy workplace, ensuring proper safety, hygiene, and environmental practices.
Monitor the implementation of corrective action plans and ensure employee welfare and safety.
Foster positive industrial relations between management and workers.
Establish systems to monitor and enforce appropriate disciplinary actions among staff and workers.
Address worker grievances and report to management.
Organize and conduct worker training, motivation, and awareness programs, maintaining proper records.
Liaise with BGMEA, BKMEA compliance auditors, Fire Service & Civil Defense, Labor Office, Labor Court, Police Station, and other relevant authorities.
Undertake any additional assignments as assigned by top management.
