Additional Requirements

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – Certification in Oracle Database 12c, 19c, or a more recent version is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional certifications or expertise in Oracle RAC, Oracle Exadata, or Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Age Requirement: Candidates should be no older than 35 years
  • Experience: 7 to 10 years of specialized experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in high-availability, mission-critical environments
  • Industry Background: Experience working with large-scale transactional databases, particularly in the banking or financial sector
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient with Oracle Data Guard, ASM, Flashback, RMAN, and audit/compliance tools
    • Strong command-line and scripting skills in Linux/Unix environments for Oracle deployments

Responsibilities & Context

  • Administer and support Oracle Databases (versions 12c, 19c, or newer) in both production and disaster recovery environments
  • Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle database systems and related utilities
  • Implement Oracle Data Guard, manage RMAN backup/recovery processes, and ensure robust DR strategies
  • Optimize performance using tools such as AWR, ASH, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), and perform SQL tuning
  • Handle database cloning, exports/imports, data pump operations, and manage schema objects
  • Administer storage structures including tablespaces, indexes, and partitions
  • Ensure data security, manage user access controls, conduct auditing, and maintain regulatory compliance
  • Assist developers with PL/SQL coding, query tuning, and performance analysis
  • Monitor database storage usage and plan for capacity scaling
  • Maintain thorough documentation, including standard operating procedures, backup records, and audit logs
