  • Minimum requirement Post graduate diploma in clinical pathology. Candidates with degrees like MCPS, M.Phil, MD, etc can also apply.       
  • Minimum 3 years practical experience in a hospital laboratory as full time pathologist       
  • Willing to work in a team in hospital setup       
  • Committed to serve poor community patients

Responsibilities & Context

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the KCH Laboratory, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to both OPD and in-patients in accordance with hospital standards.
  • Supervise and guide laboratory staff in their daily responsibilities, ensuring all tests are accurately conducted and reports are delivered on time and with quality assurance.
  • Personally conduct specialized investigations including hematology, biochemistry, serology, and microscopy on a regular basis, ensuring internal checks and cross-verification for accuracy and reliability.
  • Approve and sign off on all laboratory test reports to ensure accountability and quality control.
  • Manage and support blood transfusion procedures by ensuring that screening, cross-matching, and related protocols are strictly followed according to hospital policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all laboratory tests performed daily and prepare required reports on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual basis for hospital management or donors.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, usage, and calibration of all laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Implement and monitor continuous quality control measures to ensure optimal performance and patient satisfaction.
  • Provide training and mentorship to laboratory students and colleagues to enhance their technical and professional skills.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary.
