Age 25 to 40 years Educational Qualification: Minimum HSC or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (preferably in Travel & Tourism or Business Studies). Technical Skills: Proficiency in GDS systems such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and email communication. Industry Knowledge: Understanding of airline fare rules, classes, schedules, IATA codes, and international routing. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in English and local language.Polite, professional manner when interacting with customers. Experience: 1–3 years of experience in airline ticketing or travel agency preferred. Customer Service Orientation: Ability to handle customers’ travel needs efficiently and resolve issues quickly. Attention to Detail: High accuracy in entering passenger data, travel dates, and fare calculations. Sales & Target Focused: Ability to meet ticket sales targets and upsell travel-related services. Flexibility: Willing to work in shifts, weekends, or holidays as per travel demand. Certification (Preferred): IATA or GDS certification in ticketing/reservations.

Responsibilities & Context

Ticket Booking & Issuance:

  • Reserve and issue domestic and international flight tickets using GDS systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo).

  • Ensure accuracy in fares, taxes, and routing before finalizing bookings.

    Customer Service:

  • Assist customers with flight options, pricing, schedules, and special requirements.

  • Handle inquiries, changes, cancellations, refunds, and reissuance of tickets.

    GDS & Airline Coordination:

  • Operate global distribution systems (GDS) efficiently.

  • Liaise with airlines for seat confirmations, fare rules, and schedule changes.

    Documentation & Compliance:

  • Ensure all required travel documents (passport, visa, ID) are valid before ticket issuance.

  • Maintain accurate records for all bookings and client transactions.

    Fare Calculation & Discounts:

  • Calculate fares, issue discounts, and apply promotional offers as per airline rules.

    Payment Handling:

  • Process payments through cash, card, or bank transfers and issue proper receipts/invoices.

    Travel Insurance & Add-ons:

  • Offer and issue travel insurance, baggage protection, and other ancillary services.

    Problem Resolution:

  • Resolve ticketing issues such as overbooking, missed flights, and customer complaints.

    Sales Support:

  • Promote airline deals, upsell premium seats or services, and support sales targets.

    Report Generation:

  • Prepare daily sales reports, ticket issuance summaries, and reconciliations.
