Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain Management, Public Administration, or a related discipline. Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management (such as CIPS or CPSM) are considered an advantage.
Experience:
At least 5 years of relevant experience in administration and procurement, preferably within an INGO or development sector environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
Extensive experience managing procurement processes, vendor relationships, and administrative functions, with a strong track record in supporting donor-funded projects and ensuring compliance with procurement guidelines. Competence in logistics, office management, and event coordination is essential, along with a solid understanding of ethical and environmentally sustainable procurement practices.

The Admin and Procurement Expert plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the Utility Strengthening Project at WaterAid Bangladesh. This position leads procurement activities while providing strong administrative support to ensure seamless project delivery. Responsibilities include managing procurement processes in line with organizational policies and donor requirements, overseeing administrative systems, handling logistics, and maintaining office operations. By ensuring the timely provision of goods and services and fostering a productive work environment, this role supports staff effectiveness and wellbeing.
Procurement
Develop and execute procurement plans in accordance with WaterAid’s guidelines
Collaborate with project and operations teams to accurately forecast and fulfill procurement needs
Vendor & Contract Management
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to guarantee quality and punctual delivery
Monitor and assess vendor performance regularly
Documentation & Compliance
Keep precise and current procurement records, contracts, and audit documentation
Ensure organized archiving and easy access to procurement files
Administration & Logistics
Review comparative statements and analyses as part of the procurement committee process
Assist with project office recruitment and manage office facilities
