Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain Management, Public Administration, or a related field

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are an added advantage

Experience:
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in administration and procurement, preferably within an INGO or the development sector

Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong command of procurement processes, vendor management, and administrative operations

  • Experience supporting donor-funded projects and ensuring compliance with procurement standards

  • Knowledge of logistics, office management, and event coordination

  • Familiarity with ethical and environmentally responsible procurement practices

Core Competencies:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant procurement tools

  • High levels of integrity, accuracy, and accountability

  • Excellent interpersonal, planning, and time-management skills

Responsibilities & Context

This position plays a vital role in supporting the successful implementation of the Utility Strengthening Project in Chattogram. The Admin and Procurement Expert will oversee procurement activities and provide administrative and logistical support, ensuring compliance with WaterAid’s policies and donor guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement
  • Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with WaterAid’s policies

  • Coordinate with project and operations teams to ensure timely procurement of goods and services

2. Vendor & Contract Management
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers

  • Monitor vendor performance and conduct routine evaluations

3. Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain comprehensive and compliant procurement records, contracts, and audit documentation

  • Ensure all procurement files are well-organized and easily accessible

4. Administration & Logistics
  • Review and analyze comparative statements as a member of the procurement committee
  • Support project-based recruitment and manage office facilities and logistics
